MUSEUM OF THE SURREAL
Wonderlust and Dunhill invited me to participate in the Summer Well Festival where I was tasked to create an illustration for a large-scale art installation and craft an immersive experience that combined fantasy, storytelling, and the energetic festival atmosphere.
The story
Beyond the farthest reaches of human exploration lay the Wanderlust Forest, a mystical realm brimming with enchantment. This vast and uncharted wilderness was home to an extraordinary array of creatures—from delicate, shimmering fairies to colossal, awe-inspiring beasts.
Legends spoke of its labyrinthine paths, so intricate and endless that those who dared enter risked never finding their way out.
Beneath the ocean's surface, a parallel world thrived—a dazzling underwater kingdom teeming with life. Here, luminous jellyfish drifted gracefully among an array of sea creatures, each possessing unique powers and vivid personalities. This hidden realm was as mysterious as it was magical, an aquatic wonderland full of secrets.
Though separated by worlds of land and sea, the inhabitants of the Wanderlust Forest and the underwater realm shared a common curiosity. Stories of the other’s existence whispered through the currents and rustled in the leaves, sparking wonder and imagination. Yet, no creature had ever dared to leave the safety of their domain to uncover the truth of the other.

The place
Summer Well Festival takes place at The Stirbey Palace, Romania's most significant event venue.
The park has an area of 24 ha, over 400 year-old trees, a beautiful inland lake and an opening to Buftea Lake.
There are 7 locations for private or corporate events.
Using a unique 3D visual technique, hidden images were revealed when viewed at specific levels. Layher Allround® Scaffold platforms were installed in various locations, each paired with oversized glasses featuring colored lenses. These glasses allowed viewers to break down the images mounted on specially designed frames, creating a striking visual experience.
